Abstract
This paper investigates the impact of an electric vehicle in vehicle to grid (V2G) framework on the grid after it is powered to the grid, examines the fundamental aspects of harmonic leakage caused by the charging and discharging unit of a V2G electric vehicle on the power grid. Also, introduced parallel active power filter (APF) with direct power control method for active control, terms of accomplishing the effect of elimination of harmonic pollution. The results 0f simulations demonstrate that this system is capable 0f ensuring both charging impact and power efficiency. This paper also proposes a hybrid active power filter design using particle swarm optimization (PSO) for DC-link control under ideal voltage conditions to boost power quality and minimize current source harmonics.
